We want to share our Provence, its light that transforms every landscape, its pure and blue sky, the madness of the mistral and the magic of the Provençal accent. As from the Haute Provence, land of lavender and running waters until the olive groves and orchards of the Drôme Provençale and dominated by its giant Mont Ventoux. A region steeped in history that has preserved the treasures of the past : Roman ruins, churches and abbeys and perched villages.
Provençals have also kept many of their traditions alive, whether artisanal, cultural, folkloric or gastronomic. And they will take pleasure in sharing their art of living and their love of this beautiful country with you. All you need to do is take time to look, listen and avoid the main roads. From Rasteau, set off on the paths of Provence!
Rasteau houses are grouped around its three bell towers. A Provençal village clinging to its hill, with invigorating winds like the mistral, generous and rich soil, welcoming you without artifice because its simplicity and authenticity are enough to appreciate it. Rasteau is to be discovered in all its forms, whether cultural, artistic or wine tourism. Rasteau, one village, two Crus. Rasteau wines are available in dry red wines as well as natural sweet wines (white, rosé and red).
These are generous wines, fruity, liquorice and spicy. The Rasteau “terroir” benefits from an exceptional landscape facing Mount Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Pre-Alps Blue claysoil and cobbles.
The AOC Rasteau enjoys a Mediterranean micro-climate characterized by mild, sunny winters and hot, dry summers. Intense but infrequent showers in spring and autumn, help counter summer drought and ensure the water reserves necessary for the soil.
